Privacy policy

Last updated October 21, 2026

One Sec Daily has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your timelines, clips, and milestones are stored on your device and, when you are signed in to iCloud, synchronized through your private iCloud database. The developer cannot see your clips.

Information stored on your device

The app stores your timelines (name, optional photo, optional birth or due date, and clip length), your daily clips and their thumbnails, milestones, reminder settings, and app preferences in its local database. Films you create are rendered on your device.

You can delete a timeline, or every timeline, clip, and milestone, from Settings. Deleting there also deletes the data from your iCloud. Removing the app deletes its local data but does not by itself delete data stored in iCloud.

Camera, microphone, and Photos

The app uses the camera and microphone only while you record a clip. Photos and Files imports use the system pickers, so the app only receives the items you choose. Permission to add to Photos is used only when you save a film there. Nothing leaves your device unless you share a film yourself.

iCloud sync

When you are signed in to iCloud, Apple CloudKit synchronizes your timelines, clips, and milestones between your devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud database and counts toward your iCloud storage. It is not available to the developer or to other users. Apple processes it under its privacy policy.

If iCloud is temporarily unavailable, the app keeps working with its local database and resumes syncing later. If you sign out of iCloud or switch Apple Accounts, the app clears its local copy so another account cannot see it. The data stays in the original account's iCloud and returns when that account signs in again.

Analytics and crash reports

Anonymous product analytics are on by default. You can turn them off at any time in Settings under Share Anonymous Analytics. When on, One Sec Daily sends a few events to PostHog, such as finishing onboarding, adding a timeline, saving or deleting a clip, saving a milestone, or creating a film, with details like the clip source or a rounded clip count. These events never include clips, photos, timeline names, birth dates, milestone text, or screen recordings.

The app uses Sentry for crash and error reports. Sentry is configured not to send default personal information, screenshots, view hierarchies, memory snapshots, or performance traces. Reports may include the app version, device and operating system details, an anonymous installation identifier, the failed operation, and technical error details.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases. One Sec Daily uses RevenueCat to check whether you have One Sec Daily Pro. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, product and transaction identifiers, entitlement status, purchase dates, and renewal or expiration information. One Sec Daily never receives your payment card details.

RevenueCat may receive Apple Ads attribution information so installs and purchases can be attributed to our Apple Ads campaigns. This information is not used for third-party advertising or for tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.

Email

If you send feedback from the app or email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write or attach. We use it only to reply and fix problems.

Website data

This website has no accounts, forms, advertising, or analytics. It is hosted by Vercel, which may process standard request data such as your IP address, browser details, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs to deliver and protect the site.

Sharing and transfers

Data is shared only with Apple, PostHog, Sentry, RevenueCat, and Vercel for the purposes above, or when the law requires it. These providers may process information in other countries under their own terms and safeguards. One Sec Daily does not sell personal data or share it for targeted advertising.

Your choices

You can turn off analytics, delete timelines or all data, and change camera, microphone, Photos, notification, and iCloud permissions in iOS Settings. You can manage purchases through your Apple Account.

For access, deletion, or other privacy requests about analytics or crash data, email karelbusta@gmail.com.

Children

One Sec Daily is made for adults who film their family, pets, or travels. It is not directed to children under 13 and does not ask anyone for a name, email address, or account. Clips of children stay on your devices and in your private iCloud.

This policy may change when the app, website, or service providers change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
